MISTLEY Rugby Club are getting set to ramp up their preparations for next season.
Pre-season training starts on Tuesday (July 3) and will be held twice weekly on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
The clubhouse at Furze Hill will open at 6.30pm, with sessions from 7pm until 8.15pm.
The Thursday training will be rugby-orientated with bootcamp-type fitness exercises.
However, if England's football team end up playing their World Cup second-round match on Tuesday, the first session will be on Thursday (July 5).
Bertie Baxter will be head coach with Dai Kenyon as the backs and technical coach.
Mistley also welcome back Les Nicoll, who will be the forwards' motivational coach.
Baxter has said that despite a poor season last time out, together with demotion to Eastern Counties League division two south and a change of coaches, there is now a renewed optimism and determination.
He says the club definitely intend to push for promotion back to division one south.
Mistley will be running two sides as before - the first team and the Marauders.
All new players and non-players are welcome to attend.
